We’re all sick of the summer. Tired of it. Just want it to be over. Dank, frictionless, sweltering rock sucks. Feel like we’ve been starving over here. This past summer was like a diet of rice and water. We’re ready for hearty portions of Atlantic salmon and full glasses of Pinot Noir; big ole’ hunks of rich cheeses and dark, meaty brews; homemade pumpkin pies, apple cider donuts and cinnamon spiced cappuccinos. You get where we’re coming from? We want our appetites satisfied. Our palates tickled. And you can do that by sticking cool, breezy, belly buster days of climbing rocks on the menu. We’re not into this diet thing.

Fall, we love you. Always have. You’re the season all of us woo over and can’t wait for. There’s always that first morning you arrive, when we know you’re here for good. There’s a feeling, a moment, that’s undeniably you. It’s like waking from a 3-month sleep to a skull capped giant who’s standing bedside and speaking in a kind, deep and Godly voice, “Go now, friend. Wrap your paws around some cool, tack sharp rock.” Seriously. We’re not lying. We worship you. Hopefully you get our prayers.

Well, it seems you’re finally on your way. We just wanted to drop you this note as a token of our gratitude for all you’ve done, and will continue to do ;) We know you’ll offer us a season rich with savory days and textured ingredients, providing for the kinds of sends unimaginable even by our highest expectations. You’re almighty and powerful. And we will harvest and reap the rewards of our long-standing projects for you. Dry and cool. If only for a few months, Fall. Please, that’s all we need to feast, a few months of dry and cool - and a pinch of chalk for taste.
