Where is it?
MetroRock North is at 40 Parker Street, Newburyport, MA. Opened October 2006 and has been climbing strong for the past 8 months.

What's in it?
MetroRock North has one of the largest bouldering walls on the east coast. Massive caves, monster over-hangs and tons of insane problems; not to mention roof leading and crack climbing.

When does it get crowded?
Friday night is all the rage, but even when it gets packed there is still plenty of rope and plastic to go around.

2007-2008 season:
Mammut/EMS Boulder Championship (Final Stop) November 9^th & 10^th

ABS Comps:
December 8^th (Newburyport) & January 5^th (at the Everett location)

MetroRock Crush It Boulder Comp Series:
February 16^th (Newburyport) & March 15^th (at the Everett location)

How old do I have to be?
My son is a 3-year-old climbing expert. 5.6 this year, 5.13d next year. Anyone and everyone can climb here.

The people are awesome and the music gets me psyched! The candy is real good too.

Genre of music most played?
Last week, they had an 80’s Blast from the Past night. They play everything though.

Does the gym make you like totally awesome?
Yea, DUH! The slabs work my feet and the steep stuff torches my muscles. Been gettin’ super strong here!

What do you think of Eric, the manager, cool guy or what?
Very nice guy, super cool and I think he is awesome.

Description of the average member?
I love everyone that climbs here. There is always new people coming in, ready to crush!

What makes this gym unique?
The monster bouldering wall. Plus, you can top out EVERYTHING, and there are some scary highballs here.
