Where is it?
373D Route 46 West
Fairfield, NJ 07004
Directions?
Tucked away in the Fairfield Business Center on Route 46 West, the gym is easily accessible from virtually anywhere, using I-80 (exit 53), I-287 (exit 52), or the Garden State Parkway (exit 153B).
What’s in it?
The gym boasts over 12,000 square feet of climbing. There are 4,000 square feet dedicated solely to bouldering, which can be found on a freestanding, central boulder island and on the mezzanine, which can be accessed by a bouldering tunnel. Thirty-two top roping stations can be found on vertical, overhanging and slab walls. NJRG also has a giant lead roof, which can accommodate up to five climbers at once. Free Wi-Fi is also available, and a pro shop offers essential gear and clothing.
When does it get crowded?
Tuesdays ("Ladies Night" discount) and Thursdays
Any comps?
NJRG hosts the annual Gravity Brawl, one of three competitions in the Mammut/EMS Bouldering Championships, founded and run by NE2C. The gym is proud to have NE2C's own Jason Danforth as its head route setter. Multiple USA Climbing events are held each year.
How old do I have to be?
There is no age restriction for climbing, but you must be at least fifteen years old to belay.
Hours?
Monday thru Friday 2:00pm - 10:30pm
Saturday and Sunday 12:00pm - 8:00pm
Prices?
Adult and student day-passes begin at $16.00 and $12.00 respectively. One, three, and six-month memberships, as well as one-year memberships are available. "Punch Passes" (ten visits of your choice: great for the time-constrained climber) can also be purchased.

When are the best sessions?
NJRG always sees action on Tuesday and Thursday nights, but the best sessions go down when climbers are having fun and giving it all they've got.
Genre of music most played?
The music selection is diverse; we listen to multiple genres during any given session. Suggestions from the climbers are always encouraged, and often climbers and staff will play their own iPods or CDs.
Any good food close by?
Strip malls abound on Route 46; good places such as Puzo's, Jose Tejas, and the Versailles Diner (open 24/7) can be found a short drive away.
Description of the average member?
The average member isn’t average; everyone offers his or her own uniqueness, strengths, willpower, and personality.
What is the gym’s best feature?
A friendly, knowledgeable and experienced staff. It’s a great environment conducive to training and relaxing.
