He recently finished his Master's Degree in Structural Engineering at West Virginia University and now resides in Fayetteville, conveniently located in the heart of the New River Gorge.

"For me, climbing is really just an excuse to visit the most beautiful places in the world. It's an added bonus that I get to see them from the vantage of a nesting falcon." Andrew Mann
Andy wants to give his friend Phillip Benningfield kudos. "He introduced me to bouldering. He'd pick me up every week before I had a car and take me out - ever since then climbing's been my life - I owe him." Now, writing music and establishing boulder problems are the driving forces in Andy's life. "Nothing is better than creating something from your imagination." He also thanks his parents, the Specimen crew, Koko, Bella, and the Station Weapon (his dependable Ford Escort wagon).

Brian Solano
Brian Solano is an accomplished freelance photographer and film producer based in Boulder, Colorado. He is also one of UC Mag's lead contributors. His philosophy is that visual art should draw the audience into a separate reality, making them feel connected to something they are not. "It's all about being outside, living life, and then sharing that experience with the rest of the world." Check out Brian's website: www.BrianSolano.com for movie trailers, DVD sales, photo galleries, and his "Photo of the Week."
