WHO ARE YOU?
What's your most memorable send?
I went to Seneca with some friends for a Cinco de Mayo party. My friend, who is a freakishly strong climber, and I got on The Prune. It's a Seneca classic that's nice and easy: all gear and high exposure. It ended up that I led every pitch, since I happened to be the one with experience for that type of route. Every time he met me at a belay, he would have this look on his face that told me he was gripped, and after the crux pitch he just said, “thank God you led that.” We got to the summit and signed the register - his first one - then headed down. That was some of the most fun I have had climbing in a long time.
What are your goals for the near future?
There are some routes here in Boone that I would like to finish up. I'd also like to free some walls in Zion for Spring break, and climb some routes in the Bugaboos this summer. Oh, and I also plan to try really hard not to die.
What are three CDs you'd bring to a deserted island?
Radiohead - OK Computer
The Shins - Wincing the Night Away (it will change your life)
And any album by Wilco.
What would be your last meal before the electric chair?
My boyfriend's Green Chile Chicken Enchiladas, and a really strong margarita.
What don't you want to be doing in five years?
Still going to school. I'm on the ten-year plan; thanks rock climbing!
What is the worst thing you've ever done and never been caught for?
When I was on a road trip, I ate at this place with some friends and I kept trying to give the waiter my card to pay, but he never took it. It was time to leave so I just walked out with everyone else. I still feel like such a jerkface.
If you had a one-way ticket to any country of your choice, which would it be?
Easy. France: for the food, the climbing, and the food.
