Bouldering in the Magical Forest of Sintra, Portugal

It’s also host to a near-thousand boulder problems spread throughout the forest, with incredible shapes and colors that vary from rough granite to featured sandstone. Climbing there is year-round, even in the middle of the summer because it gets cooler winds from the ocean, and the forest has its own fresh microclimate. On rest days, climbers can visit the nearby beaches of Guincho or Adraga, drop by the stunning Cabo da Roca coast area, or simple explore and enjoy the beauty of Sintra’s architectural and natural scapes.
