International Mountain Equipment and the International Mountain Climbing School are located in the village of north Conway, New Hampshire. We have been the climbing shop in the Mount Washington Valley since 1977.
What's in your retail store?
We carry all the latest and greatest climbing equipment from Petzl, Black Diamond, Sterling, Mammut, Metolius, Mountain Hardwear, LaSportiva, Lowa, Five Ten, Western Mountaineering, Nemo tents, and others. We also specialize in backcountry skis, boots, and equipment. We have a huge consignment shop where folks can buy and sell all kinds of outdoor clothing, tents, boots, and climbing gear. We have the largest rental shop in the area for boots, crampons, ice axes, technical ice axes, tents, sleeping bags, clothing, and more.
Climbing School Info?
We operate a full-service school and guide service with a staff of the most experience guides in the Northeast. Guided ascents of Mt Washington, multi-day overnight programs, ice climbing, rock climbing, kids programs, and teen summer camps.

We are the organizers and sponsor of The 17th annual Mt. Washington Valley Ice Festival, February 5, 6, 7 2010.
