LEE MEANS PRO BLOG - RSS

When I was first asked to be a part of Urban Climber’s Pro Blog Team I was very apprehensive. My Dad always told me “Son, sometimes its better to keep your mouth shut and let people think you’re an idiot, then to open it and remove all doubt.” Besides, what the hell is a blog? And why would people want to read what I have to say about anything anyways?

11/4/10 - “Hello Brooklyn, How ya doin? Where ya goin'? Can I come, too?” ~lil Wayne. Crazy happenings: Back in July, Jules and I bought round trip tickets to NY outta Chattanooga. Getting to fly outta Chatt as opposed to going down to ATL or over to Na$hville is a treat. Especially when the tickets are roundtrip for 180 bones! When I was intubated in the hospital, I pinky-promised Jules that I wouldn't die, and that we'd go on our trip to NYC.

9/9/10 - Wow, so it’s been a long time. Some of you have asked why I haven’t posted a blog in a while, and I have to say hearing this is very flattering. In the beginning, I thought, “No one is going to want to read this crap. I’m just a rock climbing sales rep. Who cares?” Well, apparently, quite a few of you do, so this particular blog is dedicated to you. Thank you.

1/05/10 - Ok so I got my ass kicked in NC at Rumblin Bald back in October. It was my first time there, and the weather wasn't the best, but no excuses because the place is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! I'm psyched for the Carolina Climber’s Coalition for committing to purchase that 6-acre tract!!! During my long weekend I also had a great time in Asheville, NC. Peeped the premier of Progression at Asheville Pizza & Brewing Co., and then it was off to Table Rock and the first leg of Triple Crown. It's hard to believe that another T-Crown has come and gone; BIG UPS to Jim and Chad for standing the tests of time and raising money for the great causes they support!

10/01/09 - Sickle Climbing and Lee Means want to hook you up! That’s right boys and girls. My long time sponsor and I have teamed up to give back to the climbing community. We wouldn’t be where we are today if it wasn’t for rock climbing and folks like you. Sickle has been making killer climbing threads for over a decade, and I recently celebrated my own decade of climbing.

9/08/09 - Summer 09 was a great time. Autumn has arrived and soon it will be Fall. Soon it will be time for velcro friction on my sweet Southern Sandstone! As I reflect back on the 95 degree 85 percent humidity days of this summer I'm smiling because in between work I got to spend many a day splashing around in my local rivers, creeks, and lakes. The Deep Water Soloing and River Bouldering sessions were amazing.
