1/06/09 - Wow! So here it is! It’s a New Year! What a year 2008 was. I celebrated my birthday December 31st. Marking this my tenth year of trying to rock climb. Its humbling to think that a decade ago I bought myself a chalk bag, slipped on my New Balance running shoes (with the tread worn off the bottoms), and started scampering up chossy cracks and 5.6 climbs too high off the deck for me to know any better.

11/24/08 - Howdy folks! I’ve been incredibly busy with work and life in general. I’ve been in my new home for 2 month now. Moving is a hectic thing, and not fun. But it’s been exciting as this is my first new home. I say “new” but it is really a 108-year-old cottage located here in Chattanooga, TN.

8/22/08 - Since my last UCblog I’ve attended a successful SCC Board Meeting, pink pointed a route I’ve been obsessed with (still working on the true lead), explored backwoodz of the South looking for new rock, enjoyed the sickest limestone Deep Water Soloin’, put up some more FAs, met one of my favorite hip hop artistKiller Mike!, and caught up with old friends at the S08 OR show in Salt Lake City…Life’s been pretty “Sickle” to say the least.

6/20/08 - So I just got back from Switzerland. I was there for the MAMMUT global sales meeting. I’m the Southeastern Sales Representative for MAMMUT North America. I’m very blessed to have such a job. I work with a leader in climbing equipment. I’m honored to be a part of such a great company full of innovation and rich in history (MAMMUT is the oldest climbing rope manufacturer in the world!)

6/10/08 - If you haven’t been to the New River Rendezvous yet, then you are missing out. Honestly I’m not just out here trying to pitch it to you and make you drink the kool-aid. The Rendezvous is arguably one of, if not THE best climbing events in the country. I just got back from the 6th annual New River Rendezvous. And yes, it rained.

4/16/08 - When I was first asked to be a part of Urban Climber’s Pro Blog Team I was very apprehensive. My Dad always told me “Son, sometimes its better to keep your mouth shut and let people think you’re an idiot, then to open it and remove all doubt.” Besides, what the hell is a blog? And why would people want to read what I have to say about anything anyways?
