Fall Highball Eastside-Way Cool

Tales from the Armadillos in the Iron Age to the Cutting-edge Now

The American Alpine Club and Friends of the Inyo are hosting the Fall Highball Eastside-Way Cool event in Bishop, CA on November 7-8, 2009.

The event will kick off Saturday with Adopt-a-crag in the Buttermilk from 9:00am to 1:00pm at Peabody Boulder 6.6 miles up Buttermilk Road. Coffee and snacks will be provided. Saturday night there will be a slide show by Doug Robinson about decades of adventure in the Sierra. Tickets will be $10 and include drinks and snacks. Doors open at 6:30 at the Inyo Council for the Arts 137 South Main St in Bishop, CA. A silence auction and raffel will raise funds for constructing a restroom facility in the Buttermilks.

Sunday morning there will be a climbers coffee where you can meet with the agencies that manage Eastern Sierra climbing resources. This will take place a Peabody Boulder and coffee and snacks will be provided.
