 Utah's High Adventure Mountain Film Festival 2008
The first annual Utah’s High Adventure Mountain Film Festival will launch September 18-21, 2008 at the historic Peery’s Egyptian Theater and the David Eccles Conference Center in downtown Ogden, Utah. This four-day festival is comprised of thrilling films, panel discussions and award ceremonies that promote the spirit of high mountain adventure sports in a picturesque, active mountain town. Adventure and expedition specialists Rock and Rapid have announced that this year’s week-long DWS festival in Costa Blanca, Spain will begin on Sunday the 14th of September, 2008. Boulder, Colorado's 8th Annual Flagstaff Trash Bash will be happening on Wednesday, September 10th, 2008, and you know it will be raining booty. So mark your calendar, recruit/brainwash some friends, and head up to the Summit to pick up trash, eat dinner, drink beverages, and walk away with the goods. The 3rd annual Mammut Bouldering Championships Season Finale will be on Saturday, August 9th, from 6:30 to 9 pm at the Shilo Inn, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Held during the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market Trade Show, the Pro Finals will draw the world’s biggest names in rock climbing to compete for a $10,000 cash purse, the largest purse in U.S. climbing. It's more of a gathering of participants rather than a competition with mostly Bolivian's but also some French, English, German and Mexican climbers who measured their skills and strengths over the weekend on some magic volcanic boulders. On July 30 - August 2, 2008 the biggest bouldering event in France — the Tout A Blocs (TAB) — will be kicking off in the town of l'Argentière la bessée and on the beautiful granite boulders of Ailefroide, France.
